The Bears men's basketball team traveled to Carson, California, to take on U.S.C.A.A. member Future College. The Bears got off to a great start defensively and were able to capitalize on the mistakes of Future College, while taking an early 12-4 lead. The Bears never looked back as they continued their outstanding first half of play, while setting a school record for most points in a half with 74 points! The Bears took a commanding halftime lead of 74-30. The second half saw more of the same as the Bears continued to dominant the game on both ends of the court. The Bears went on to win the game, 138-82. The Bears set three school records in this game; Most Points in a Half (74 pts.), Most Points in a Game (138 pts.), and Largest Margin of Victory (56 pts.). Everyone had a chance to participate in the record shattering game, with Michael Johnson leading the way with 34 points and 8 rebounds. Jesse Henderson-Lewis recorded his first double-double of the season with 20 points and 11 rebounds! Tade Keshishyan scored 23 points, Bryan Mahood added 17 points, and Steven Shares had a great all around game with 11 points, 5 assists and 5 rebounds, on 5-6 shooting from the field. The Bears are now 1-0 in P.C.A.C. Conference play, and they look forward to their next conference game on Sunday, January 17th at 8:30 p.m., at Next Level Sports Complex in Garden Grove. Gooo Bears!
