The Bears Women's Basketball Team Hires Jelani Gardner As The New Head Coach

As of  September 16th, 2015, the Bristol University Women's Basketball team has a new Head Coach. His name is Jelani Gardner, and he is no stranger to the basketball world. As a former player, Coach Gardner has an extensive resume which concludes with a 12-year professional playing career in Europe. During his high school playing days, Coach Gardner was the 1994 C.I.F Player Of The Year, California State Player of the Year, USA Today First Team All American, McDonald's All American, No. 1 Point Guard In High School, and C.I.F Champion at St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower, California. After High School, he went on to accept a basketball scholarship at Cal Berkeley University, before finishing out the last two years of his eligibility at Pepperdine University, in Malibu, California. As a 12-year professional player, Coach Gardner played in Israel, Germany, Australia, France, Italy, and Russia. We look forward to watching Coach Gardner and his staff develop our women's basketball team into a force to be reckoned with. Gooo Bears!
