Women's Basketball Falls to La Verne on the Road

The Bears women's basketball team traveled to La Verne to take on the Leopards of the University of La Verne. The University of La Verne women's basketball team defeated Bristol, 74-50, on Wednesday night at Sports Science and Athletic Pavilion located on the campus of La Verne. La Verne improves to 2-2 while Bristol falls to 0-4. The Leopards were efficient on offense and suffocating on defense. La Verne assisted on 18 of 25 made baskets and went 19-for-25 at the line while holding the Bears to just 33.9 percent shooting and forcing them into 21 turnovers. La Verne took advantage of the turnovers on the other end, turning them in to 21 points. The Bears had a few bright spots in the game, with Allie Kemery-Trueman and Jessica Phillips leading the way with 15 points each respectively. Jessica Phillips also added a game-high 15 rebounds! The Lady Bears return to action on Monday, December 7th, as they take on the Master's College at 7:00 p.m., in Santa Clarita.
